Summary and Chronology

Each significant medical event is included in the chronology, identified by treater, facility, and page number in the medical record. Accompanying each chronology is a Summary Letter: a brief analytic narrative defining medical-legal issues, areas of potential strength and vulnerability, and suggestions for strategy and other resources available. The Summary Letter succinctly states the medical-legal essence of the case.

MRC's Triage™ of Records

Offers a quick and cost-efficient review of massive amounts of data according to medical-legal priorities. Our nurses triage cases in a way similar to how a medical team works -- differentiating the most serious cases from those that are not "life threatening." Nurse Project Managers work with clients to determine the essential data points and the best method for reporting them, including medical damages and causation elements. An average case may be completed in a matter of hours, depending on the complexity and quantity of pages to be reviewed.

Personal Injury Review

Available to insurance clients as well as attorneys for pre-litigation or litigation needs. Medical summaries or chronologies reflect all relevant records, abstracting and highlighting each claim's critical facts. Pre-existing medical and injury conditions and non-accident related plausible explanations for the alleged injuries are identified. Should a client request a bill audit and appraisal, MRC will analyze billing records for medical costs in excess of those usual and customary for the medical treater's geographic region or for costs that are unrelated or unsupported. MRC's personal injury reviews support effective negotiation and early settlement of claims.
